Great podcast, but lengthy intros

I really like this podcast. Great story telling, very interesting topics, lots of episodes to binge. I definitely recommend!
I’ve read things in other reviews that people don’t care for about this podcast and I want to call them out because truthfully they used bothered me too. But this podcast is worth it and I promise you’ll get over it.
.
The hosts go off on lots of tangents that can last a few minutes each. A lot of people really like their banter and it’s their favorite thing about the podcast. But if it’s not for you, honestly I just hit the 15 second skip-ahead button until I hear that it’s back to the story. It’s not much effort and totally worth it.
.
Melanie does have a ‘baby talk’ voice that really used to hit all my sensory issues the wrong way. I had to walk away from the podcast for a bit because of it. But they have such good content I wanted to give it a try again, and it gets less noticeable over time.

At this point, the only thing I don’t super love is that they don’t write down when the episode actually starts in the show notes. Episodes can open with 10-30+ minutes of chatting before they start on the topic. Which a lot of their listeners love and you probably will too! But for the people just here for the meat of it, it can take a minute or two of scanning to find the start of the disaster.
